Dereliott Conversions ran their own rally car which was engineered by their head race mechanic Peter White and Dereliott's Technical Director Derek Morrissey.
The car was a modified Ford Escort Mk1 with a Lotus Twin Cam Big Valve Dereliott tuned engine and with driver Mart Watson and navigator Jeff Hignett they just about won every club event and NW Rally championship. In 1972 they won a staggering 29 awards, see press article below. |
